Update from the office
The Black Jack island cleanup bonanza weekend was a huge success! We had about 25 volunteers out to help and we were very productive. In between the work, there was swimming and even pit cooking, where Mary cooked beans underground for 10 hours until they were delicious and ready to eat.
In other news, we have been working on an improved logbook for all Bytown programs. Among other things, it will be more durable than the last one so it should never have to be replaced after hours in the sun, on the island or even after rain. We will have it all ready to go for this upcoming season of programs.
Also, Manuel has finished the new topmast for Fair Jeanne and it is looking great! Once the boat is delivered to Cornwall, the masts will be put in and she will be rigged.
The last bit of news is that Bytown is now on Facebook with an official page. Click on the Like button below to become a fan and to see lot's more pictures of the weekend.
Keep checking back regularly as we will be updating the blog more and more frequently as our season gets underway.
